Totally opaque black dark red color with a dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced black pepper infused scents of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice rise out of the glass followed by smoky vanillin cedar and traces of spicy black olives. Bursting with rich fruit the full bodied palate also possesses great underlying structure. The mouth is swamped with blackpepper laced ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours which sit over a backdrop of smoky vanillin cedar, subtle black olive and spice elements. Velvet like yet sturdy tannins, well balanced acidity and a long peppery aftertaste.
Staff Review:
Dark berries with a full body and super velvety tannins. This is my ideal style of red wine on a cold winters night. Pairs well with stews, grilled meats, and dark chocolate.
