Position: Kitchen Expediter

Lola’s Cafe & Kitchen is seeking an Expediter/Food Prep Team Member to join our kitchen team. This person would be a crucial part of the service team, ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently and presented to customers in top condition, contributing to a positive dining experience. This person would also assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks when not on expediting duties. Full time available. Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Transport food orders from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that food is delivered in the correct order, properly plated, and at the right temperature.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure all orders are completed and ready for delivery to customers.
  • Double-check the orders for accuracy, ensuring all items are included and any special requests or dietary requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. Report any issues with orders (missing items, incorrect orders) to the kitchen or management.
  • Ensure that the quality of food is consistent with company standards. Alert kitchen staff or management if food appears undercooked, overcooked, or not up to standard.
  • Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients according to the recipe specifications. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as set by company 
  • Assist with food preparation and follow the assigned prep list (includes chopping, dicing, slicing, baking/pastry, etc.)
  • Prepare salads, sandwiches, and specials to order according to company standards in a timely & efficient manner
  • Ensure that all ingredients and kitchen supplies are stocked and organized in the prep areas. Label and date food products for storage, ensuring that items are correctly stored for later use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workspace 
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, coolers and all storage areas
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least one year of professional kitchen experience 
  • Ability to work with others in a team setting and adapt to the changing needs of the kitchen. 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure that orders are accurate and that food is presented in the best possible way
  • Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Able to move quickly and handle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to interact with both guests and staff in a professional manner
  • Comfortable using kitchen equipment such as grill, slicer, stove, ovens, etc. 
  • Must have a passion and appreciation for quality food
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently
  • Able to follow instructions and established procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen and basic cooking techniques

Position: Kitchen Team Member/Prep Cook/Sandwich Line


The Market kitchen is a unique kitchen environment. We are a small team that works together to prepare food for our customers in a variety of ways. We keep a grab & go case filled with snacks, salads, and meals, prepare made-to-order items off of our monthly menu for walk up, call-in, and online orders, and fulfill catering orders as they are added to our calendar. Every day the balance is a little different, and therefore the needs of our kitchen are always evolving. This person will assist with the daily food prep needs of the kitchen based on direction from the leadership team. We value our team and strive to build a group of passionate professionals who enjoy working together and feel a sense of ownership in their role. 

Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):

  • Ability to follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as set by company

Market Counter Associate

Position: Market Counter Associate

The Market Counter Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the Market counter. 

Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs at the Market counter
  • Answering phone calls and taking orders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Cutting cheeses, serving prepared foods, and ensuring presentation and portioning meet company standards
  • Assisting customers with questions and handling minor issues or concerns that may arise
  • Stocking and rotating retail products to maintain a fresh and organized display
  • Packaging foods for retail, including prepared foods, nuts, bulk items, etc.
  • Preparing food items such as smoothies, acai bowls, and other menu offerings
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders, customer requests, and dietary preferences
  • Completing opening and closing duties in line with company procedures
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization within The Market, including cleaning tables after guests leave
  • Following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation
  • Ensuring products are displayed and prepared to the highest standards
  • Performing additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least one year of experience and/or training in the food & beverage industry and/or retail/customer service is preferred, but not required – we will train the right person
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn necessary programs
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible personality with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs

Warehouse & Stock Associate

Job Title: Warehouse & Stock Associate

This position is for a stock associate/team member who will perform stock associate job duties and provide assistance to warehouse team leads, with potential to grow within the company. 

Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential. Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and night shifts. 

Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):

  • Check in and unload trucks as needed
  • Put away inventory in a timely manner
  • Ensure sales floor is properly stocked according to company standards; stock shelves in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee hourly stock personnel and ensure that tasks are completed properly and efficiently in a timely manner 
  • Provide customer service when on sales floor as needed 
  • Keep all receiving, shipping, stock, and supply areas clean and organized
  • Ensure all opening and closing warehouse procedures are completed properly
  • Contribute to team effort and establish working relationship with others 
  • Assist warehouse team leads as needed 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse by following company standards
  • Follow established procedures and policies as outlined by management 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Organized
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance 
  • Warehouse experience preferred, but not required
  • Able to or a willingness to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, WAV, pallet jack, etc.)  Forklift certification preferred.

  • Be flexible and do what is needed to accomplish the goals of the company. Know that sometimes priorities will change within a given day or week.

Starting at $16/hour, with compensation based on experience. Full time position.
