Casamigos Tequila Anejo
The newly minted tequila brand, Casamigos, has just released their Anejo offering. This unconventional brand -the result, I'm sure, of some sort of drunken bet- is the brain child of three unusually succesful people. They've come together, thanks to the proximity of their vacation homes, to curate this wonderful line of tequilas from the excellent Finos de Agave Distillery. Typically, we pay extra scrutiny to celebrity brands and Casamigos was no exception. It's now clear that these guys have done their homework. As with the other expressions, Casamigos has spared no expensive in developing an extremely well crafted product here. The anejo is rich and briming with spice and sweet oak. Slight notes of pepper and fruit, remind you that it's tequila before powerful flavors of cinnamon and vanilla envelope the palate.
