High West Praire Bourbon Whiskey
High West is dedicated to preserving and promoting the American West, that's why they've created a whiskey dedicated to one of the greatest land preservation projects of our time: the American Prairie Reserve in Montana, a 5000 square mile land tract the size of Connecticut restored to what Lewis and Clark would have seen. High West will donate 10% of after tax profits from each bottle to the American Prairie Foundation. This is a marriage of two straight Bourbon whiskies: 6 year old Bourbon distilled and aged at the old Seagrams plant in Lawrenceberg Indiana with a mashbill from 75% Corn, 20% rye, 5% barley malt and a 10 year old Bourbon distilled by Four Roses with a mashbill from 60% Corn, 35% rye, and 5% barley malt. The result is another drinkable, "frontier style" whiskey from High West who are doing a fantastic job of creating a house style with other people's whiskey. Lots of sweet baking spices, soft wood, and keen richness. Delish.
