Made of 100% Saint Jeannet! From Christian Allamand: "This unique and distinctive white wine is made in its entirety with Saint Jeannet, which is also referred to as Gros Vert Blanc. As far as we know, this strange and almost extinct grape variety originated in France (Grasse, according to some, Southern Rhône, according to others...). Cristian Allamand and his father Raymond Stanislas Allamand have rescued this variety and own the only 1.2ha planted to 100% Saint Jeannet." Grapes are hand-harvested from a vineyard at nearly 1,000m elevation and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel with minimal SO2 added. Crisp and mineral, this is like a Mendoza Muscadet with a touch of flowers, making it perfect for springtime sipping.
