This cocktail pours pleasantly peach, but don’t let the color fool you; your pitcher is going to pack a serious punch. Negroni lovers, rejoice! You now have a summertime cocktail that’s a bit lighter and brighter - perfect for sipping in the sun.
Not sure about pairing tequila and a bitter aperitivo? Just imagine it... the bitterness mingling with the depth of aged tequila, then picture yourself adding orange juice to get the sweetness and acidity you would want in a summer pitcher drink...mmm. Okay, stop imagining it and make a tester already!
-
2 parts Reposado Tequila (we like Cantera Negra or La Gritona)
-
1 part Orange Liqueur (we used Walcher)
-
1 part Bitter Aperitivo Liqueur (we used St. George Bruto Americano, but you can also use Campari or Aperol)
-
2 parts Orange Juice (we used Simply Orange)
-
1 part Seltzer Water
-
Ice (using XL ice cubes will keep them from melting too quickly)
*To make a full pitcher, 1 part = 1 cup.
In a large pitcher, combine tequila, aperitivo liqueur, orange liqueur, and orange juice. Fill your pitcher with ice, top with seltzer, and gently stir to combine. Garnish with an orange slice, if desired.
